About Me

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest from small town Vader, WA, Mason Gaul always had a love for country music since he was just a kid. In his teen years, he got hooked on the grunge rock that came out of Seattle and the northwest in the 90's. While still having a heart for the country music he grew up on, he began writing songs of his own and learning to play the guitar. Theres a little mix of both worlds in his music.

Mason went on to study Environmental Sciences at Central Washington University while commercial fishing in the summers. His spare time at the university was spent playing bass guitar in a band and getting local gigs around the area.

After college he moved back to his old stomping grounds where he'd embrace his love of the outdoors and work as a land surveyor. While working full-time, the weekends were spent playing local acoustic gigs in restaurants and events in the area, as well as playing music with his church on Sundays.

Mason Gaul just released his first album titled "Mudflow" (2023) inspired by the lives lost in the eruption of Mt. St Helens in 1980 which is local to his hometown. His first album is all original songs written and recorded by Mason Gaul. "The songs I write are very personal to me and who I am which is the way I like it, but they can be very relatable to most people."

Eager to share his music with a wider audience as well as fulfill a dream of traveling, Mason plans to play and travel as much as he can to share his songs with all who care to listen.

When Mason is not performing or writing music, he enjoys hiking various trails, finding new adventures, fishing the local rivers, hunting, and spending time with his wife and his dog Remington (named after the rifle).
